Hello I'm Dr. Gina Pepin and excited to share the Ride and Read program created especially for our rural community where families often spend hours traveling on the road. After hearing stories from my students about their journeys between homes and sports, I wanted to make every mile an opportunity for joyful learning and connection. Through Ride and Read, families can choose from themed travel totes filled with engaging books, activity cards, and storytelling props—making it easy to turn travel time into fun literacy moments. Each tote is thoughtfully designed to grow early literacy using creative, hands-on play and meaningful conversations. I designed the Ride and Read program so families can easily access rich language and literacy materials—no matter where life takes them. You can find locations, like libraries or schools, where totes can be checked out. Adventure Starts With a Story

Sponsorship Opportunities; Sponsor 1 tote – $300 Provides one family with a tote full of books and learning activities. Literacy Friend: Site Partner: Sponsorship Levels Family Champion: Sponsor 3 totes – $900 Brings the joy of reading to three families. Neighborhood Advocate: Sponsor 5 totes – $1,500 Helps create a network of literacy-rich homes. Sponsor a full set of 9 totes for a local school, library, YMCA, or community center – $2,700 Place a complete collection of nine themed Ride and Read totes at a local site, where families can check them out and bring them home. Each tote is packed with materials that show children that adventure truly starts with a story—inviting families to discover new worlds, one borrowed bag at a time. Community Builder: Sponsor 1 tote – $300 Sponsor 10 totes – $3,000 Inspires literacy in ten families across our region. Literacy Leader: Sponsor 20+ totes – $6,000+ Transforms whole neighborhoods, providing lasting literacy resources to families.
